Free private parking with your boat tour booking — arrival info & cheap National Park tickets

Parking in Virpazar is close to impossible in summer. As a courtesy for our guests we offer a free private parking lot next to the train station, a beautiful car-free foot walk to our boats — and pickup on request.

Arrival options

Please tell us by email which option you prefer, so Ilija can expect you.

Option 1 — Free private parking (recommended)

Park for free on our private parking next to Virpazar Train Station: in front of or left of the shed with our Noah's Ark poster. Public parking in Virpazar is crowded and stressful in summer, so this is by far the most relaxed option.

Option 2 — Parking plus pickup & drop-off

We can pick you up at the parking. Because of the daily traffic jam in the village it takes about as long as walking, so we usually recommend the foot walk. Just tell us by email if you prefer a pickup.

Option 3 — Come directly to the boat landing stage

You can meet us directly at our boat landing stage in the heart of Virpazar harbour. Please note there is no car parking space available there.

Option 4 — Public parking (not recommended)

The public parking opposite the village is usually completely overcrowded, a parking fee is often demanded and street sellers can be pushy. From there it is a 10–15 minute walk to us, using the pedestrian underpass at the right edge of the parking.

How to walk from the free parking to our boat landing stage

About 15 minutes, car-free, shaded and genuinely beautiful.

The shaded pedestrian path from the parking into Virpazar village.
  1. 1Park in front of or left of our shed with the Noah's Ark poster.
  2. 2Start along the road, keeping the railway tracks on your right-hand side.
  3. 3After 100 m you reach the main road — keep right.
  4. 4After another 80 m you see the "70" speed limit sign: here you cross the railway tracks (the old train is slow and loud, you hear it minutes before it arrives).
  5. 5Enter the gravel path and continue on the shaded pedestrian walk through the greenery.
  6. 6Follow it for about 500 m until you reach the village (the boat restaurant "Silistria" is on your right).
  7. 7Continue slightly right along the way, past the souvenir market stalls.
  8. 8After 80 m you reach the main road of Virpazar — cross the old stone bridge.
  9. 9At the end of the bridge take the first road to the right, slightly downhill along the river.
  10. 10You now see the meadows with several boating stages; after 100 m a partly wooden stage on the right leads down to us via the stairs.
  11. 11You have arrived — our boats start at the end of the wooden stage.

Arriving by train, bus or bike

Arriving by train

Take option 1 or 2 above and add roughly 3 minutes of walking — our parking is only 200 m from Virpazar Train Station.

Arriving by bus

Buses stop at the public parking opposite the village (option 4). From there it is a 10–15 minute walk to our landing stage.

Arriving by bike

Use option 1 or 2 and lock your bikes in our entrance — just let us know in advance. With option 3 you can usually lock the bike at the street near the harbour.

How to get a cheap National Park ticket

The National Park ticket is not included in any booking (this is the same for all local operators). The fee (€5 per person in April 2026) is paid in cash during the tour directly to the official National Park authorities, who issue a printed ticket. Card payment is often possible, but never guaranteed.

Tip: a digital annual ticket for all Montenegrin national parks costs around €13.50 and can be bought online (“Godišnja ulaznica za sve parkove”) or at any National Park station. Single tickets are available there too.
